Older Workers Sweat Boom Times

This article looks at the first four waves of HRS data (1992-1998) to evaluate how older workers are affected by this period of economic boom. David Weir of the University of Michigan, Associate Director of the HRS, comments throughout the article on general trends and findings that can be seen in the data. The study shows that Americans have become wealthier, are more likely to be working in their 50s and 60s, and are increasingly worried about their health.
