Abstract

Estimated pulse wave velocity (ePWV) serves as a noninvasive indicator of arteriosclerosis, reflecting the extent of vascular aging. Previous studies have demonstrated a negative correlation between arteriosclerosis and bone mineral density (BMD), with reduced BMD recognised as a primary marker of osteoporosis. Nevertheless, the relationship between ePWV and osteoporosis risk, and the mechanisms connecting arteriosclerosis to osteoporosis in postmenopausal women, remain unclear.
