Abstract

This study attempts to understand the impact of pension and social security wealth on decisions made by people of retirement age. Their in-depth analysis of the Health and Retirement Study gives many interesting findings. Of those people participating in the Health and Retirement Study, more then half of the wealth is in the form of social security, pensions, and health insurance. Various topics are explored in this paper.
