The Health and Retirement Study Data Set

This article provides a brief overview of the HRS. It comments on the valuable features and variables unique to the study and mentions the many publications that have been based on HRS data. The Health and Retirement Study (HRS) is a longitudinal study intended to provide data for researchers, policy analysts, and program planners who are making major policy decisions that affect retirement, health insurance, saving, and economic well-being.
