Abstract | In the current study, the authors determine how the screening-eligible US population differs from National Lung Screening Trial participants in terms of characteristics that affect their ability to benefit from screening. The population eligible for lung cancer screening in the United States is older and more likely to have comorbidities and smoke, and has a shorter life expectancy than participants in the National Lung Screening Trial. |
