LHMS+HRS Core Jobs History File

This file is a cleaned and harmonized job history for HRS respondents based on data from the 2016 RAND-HRS cross-wave longitudinal file and the 2017 Spring and Fall self-administered Life History Mail Survey files (LHMS). The sample includes HRS respondents who were interviewed in the 2016 HRS core and were still living in 2017. Respondent-reported jobs starting from age 15 are included. Each record contains the job tenure, start age, end age, full-time/part-time (FT/PT) status, occupation code, and O*NET score measuring average physical demands associated with that occupation. The file contains N=49,462 respondent-job records from N=10,216 respondents.
