The Environmental Predictors Of Cognitive Health and aging (EPOCH) Study has generated science-ready datasets to facilitate research on the impact of the residential environment, primarily exposures to air pollution, on healthy aging among HRS respondents. These data products were created uniquely for each participant based on their exact residential address(es) by researchers at the University of Michigan and the University of Washington using funds from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and the National Institute on Aging (R01ES028694). By requesting access to these data, you agree to cite the EPOCH study and its data sources in your publications.

EPOCH datasets are available as a time series of moving averages updated each month for each HRS respondent based on their home address(es) between 2000 and 2016. This data structure allows investigators to merge the exposure estimates with the survey dates as needed for their analyses. Additional details can be found in each of the EPOCH code books.
