The HRS 2017 Fall Life History Mail Survey (LHMS) contains questions about residential history, education history, and other important childhood and family events. The LHMS is part of the Health and Retirement Study (HRS), which is funded under a cooperative agreement between the National Institute on Aging (NIA) and the Survey Research Center at the University of Michigan.
The 2017 Fall Life History Mail Survey Educational History Data includes respondent's school's city and state information.
The field period for the LHMS 2017 Fall was December 2017 through June 2018. The data file contains multiple records (n=3,256) for each respondent or proxy who filled out and returned a 2017 Fall LHMS questionnaire. The file is sorted on Household ID (HHID), Person number (PN) and ORDER (LH22_ORDER_17FALL).
